DIG DIARY 2003 - Week One

Wednesday 11th June: Back in October 2002 the site was flooded to a depth of about 2 feet, which meant that last years trenchs which were 5 feet deep, must have had 7 feet of water in them. This has done some damage to the walls of the trenchs, including causing a couple of small collapses. It has also brought in quite a lot of silt which has given the weeds something to grow on.

First job however is clean out the site huts..........

Thursday 12th June: A little more cleaning and washing of the site huts and their contents was completed first thing. Later in the morning additional equipment was carried onto site and safely stored. Finally, leave Nick in peace to get his computer up and running.
