DIG DIARY 2003 - Week Two

Monday 16th June: A spot of weeding was required in the trenches, together with lifting out of large rocks put in place to hold down the "geotex" covering last years excavations.
Claire.
A fair amount of soil and silt also had to dug out.

The weather was very hot (by Isle of Man standards), over 20 degrees Centigrade I would guess. Finds: A large piece of pottery and a jawbone (dog?).

Wednesday 18th June:

Buster in action.

Almost finished clearing the soil of the geotex.

Move the spoil heap so that we can extend the trench please Ray....

 The spoil heap is being moved to the far end of the main trench!

Friday 20th June:

Blurry photo of finds tray containing nails etc.
