ARCHAEOLOGY 2005 - a 10 week excavation starts on Monday
13th June.
There have been several archaeological excavations undertaken on the site over the past 80 years. 1913/14 by Mr W C Cubbon (then owner of the Abbey estate) 1926-28 by Mr W C Cubbon and the Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society. 1934 by Mr W C Cubbon 1978 The

VOLUNTEERS A certain number of volunteers, with or without previous archaeological experience, can be accommodated on site. However, this depends somewhat upon how many students, work-experience students from secondary schools, or other volunteers are already on site.
